Jefa is a digital challenger bank for women in Latin America that offers access to savings accounts, loans, insurance, easy payments, debit and credit cards.
As the design lead, I built the brand identity from scratch, lead all product design from a UI and UX perspective, and managed the visual presence of the company. Core to all of these design decision was the question: how can we make a bank feel human and trustworthy to people who’ve never had a bank account before?

As the design lead, I built the brand identity from scratch, lead all product design from a UI and UX perspective, and managed the visual presence of the company. Core to all of these design decision was the question: how can we make a bank feel human and trustworthy to people who’ve never had a bank account before?

The brand needed a major refresh, to pair with the ambitions of the company to go beyond food delivery, and become in all-in-one offering to the region. By simplifying the brand colours, introducing a new typeface, and creating a new system of illustrations and product mockups, we were able to build a compelling set of materials.

In a year and a half, we built a brand that resonated with 150,000 people and created an active community of 15,000.

Through direct communication with our audience, thoughtful iteration, and attentional to detail, we built a brand that resonated with our audience. After a year, we had grown a community of 15,000 Instagram followers, with 150,000 women on our product waitlist. Both our customers and investors continuously praised the design and craftsmanship of our product.
